Eat, Pray, Lent 2015

  Feb 9 - Feb 9, 2015 Mon 10:30 AM - Mon 4:00 PM

From feasting at Mardi Gras to fasting on Good Friday, the season before Easter is about so much more than ‘giving up chocolate.’ Whether we engage in unusual practices or deepen our engagement with the everyday activities of eating, breathing, walking, and laughing, Lent is a season for deepening our relationship with God.

In this retreat, we aim to reclaim the beauty of Lent as a ‘both/and’ time – a time of feasting *and* fasting; of working *and* praying; of laughing *and* crying. Using ancient Christian stories, contemporary films, and family recipes (yes, we will be cooking!), we’ll fire up our minds and senses for a delicious Lenten season.

In addition to the day retreat, you are welcome to join us for a screening of the film “Eat, Pray, Love,” followed by discussion. Sunday, February 8th, 6:30pm at the Centre. (Overnight accommodations available upon request.)

Program Cost: $45 (tuition, snacks & meal)

Please register at least 2 weeks in advance to secure your place in this program.
