Herbal First Aid For The Home

7Song is an herbalist, teacher and naturalist residing in Ithaca, NY. He is the director and main instructor at the Northeast School of Botanical Medicine and is a founding member and clinical herbalist at the Ithaca Free Clinic.

As an herbalist, his focus includes gathering and preparing herbal medicines, clinical practice, first aid, teaching, and botany. He also spends a lot of time taking photographs of things that run, crawl, fly, or photosynthesize.

His teaching goals include showing how herbal medicine offers useful primary and adjunct treatments and how to make herbal medicine accessible and available to the larger community.

In this workshop, Herbal First Aid for the Home, the focus will be on common first aid plants to have around the home to treat maladies such as asthma, injuries, and pain. 7Song will cover some common medicinal plants such as Chaparral, Yarrow, Eyebright, Echinacea, and medicinal honey. The goal of the class is for participants to be able to prepare a home first aid kit for a variety of situations.

This workshop is free for all to attend.
