Invitation to Rest for Black & Indigenous Activists & Elders- REGISTRATION IS NOW FULL!
April 9-11, 2021 – Friday 5:30 pm to Sunday 3:00 pm
One part of racial justice is rest and care.
It continues to be such a time of grief. Again, we are extending a loving invitation to Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour, Queer Trans BIPOC at the heart of our struggles right now. People are healing and grieving. We appreciate that BIPOC activists and Elders have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic. You are on the front lines of rapid response actions, organizing and holding healing space for your communities. We’re mindful that you also do a lot of educating others while navigating systemic racism and trauma. We invite you to come to Tatamagouche Centre where we’ll feed you and give you a beautiful place to rest at no cost. We want you to know that we’re with you.
This is a personal retreat, not a hosted event/program. You will have private accommodations which could be individual, or a shared house with family or your collective/group within COVID protocols. All are welcome but priority will be given to those who have not yet had a chance to participate in this type of retreat.
Tatamagouche Centre is committed to an anti-racist, anti-oppression, 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusive and supportive space.
Registration Deadline: March 31, 2021
As the event is full, do register for our waiting list.
