March 18, 2020

Dear Friends,

At this time, we are heartened by the solidarity. Choirs singing together online. Care-mongering groups popping up across the country. Strangers reaching out.

Since our last update, the public health situation has changed so we are closing the Tatamagouche Centre and working from home until further notice. We respect the call for social distancing, not only to keep our staff and the public safe but to minimize any trips to protect those who are still having to work. We are hopeful that we can find creative ways to stay connected in learning and community.

Meanwhile, may you and yours stay well.

Thank those in front-line care and support, in retail. Limit your trips to keep them safe.

Support agencies who work in care, in social supports, in housing, in prisons, with vulnerable groups whose work and vulnerabilities have grown.

Use this time for spiritual reflection.  Get outside.   Be gentle with yourselves and others.
