Indian cooking class

Join Vinder Singh for a unique Indian cooking workshop. Learn how to make Channa Masala (chickpea curry) and vegetable pakoras (vegetable fritters). A healthy, tasty, budget friendly meal that you may want to make over and over!

When: Wednesday November 5th

Chana Masala

A protein rich vegan and gluten free chickpea curry that originated in North India.

The dish features chickpeas simmered in a spiced, onion-tomato gravy known as “masala”

Vegetable Pakoras

Pakoras are crispy fritters make with vegetables like onions, cauliflower, spinach, and potatoes. The vegetables are coated in a chickpea batter and deep fried. Served with a tamarind chutney. Pakoras are also vegan and gluten free. 

With help from the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program, Tatamagouche Centre is pleased to offer the Rooting & Connecting Isolated Seniors part 2. Free to all seniors (aged 55+) and youth these sessions will offer various workshops centred around health.
